Gents - I am refreshing my clutch slave cylinder with the rebuild kit and have a stupid question. What is the right way to remove the existing gasket on the piston? Does it slide off like another other o ring, or is the piston two separate parts and your are suppose to separate to get the gasket out?

The brake pressure regulator was much the same - gasket gets pried out with a hook. The pressure regulator kit came with a little plastic cone that would allow you to push the gasket down over it to expand it out to the outer diameter of the piston to then make it easier to slide on. I don't see anything similar here, may need to just gently pry it over with a hook and the edge of the table. Looks like a beefy enough gasket to handle it.

Yup figured that would be the case but wanted to check before I tear my new and only gasket in half.
Gotta love free parts. This rebuild kit and one for the clutch master was new in box in the parts bin that came with the car.
