guys,

when i was in kiawah, i had dinner with Ford Hea**** ... who is in the insurance business and owns Hea**** Classic Collector Car Insurance. His family has been in the insurance business since 1922, and he started the classic car insurance ... Ford owns classic cars and is also a judge in some concours.

i have just compared my hagerty insurance with hea**** ... and i would save approx. 100 bucks a year and have the same coverage. one of the things that i like, if you have multiple classic cars, you only pay liability on one of them ...

so my question - does anybody here have experience with them?

I don't know **** about Hea**** insurance but savings of 100 dollars a year
would be a large fraction of mine. Reputation would be the main thing because
the savings are not huge in absolute terms. One always fears that these ******
companies do not come up with ****** excuses when presented with a *******
claim and force you to involve ******* lawyers.

thats funny, i didn't put the asterisks in there. i typed it out and somehow the site edited it. funny.

Scott:

I'm 99.9% sure you only have to pay liability on the first car with Hagerty. I've had/have many cars insured with them over the past 15-16 years, and that's the way it has always been.

10 or 12 years ago, while I was in the passenger seat, my son was driving my 73 CSA the right direction on a two lane one-way street just off Piedmont Road; when a car coming the wrong way clipped our drivers front corner to the tune of about $6,500 and kept going. I filed a police report, got an estimate from the shop that I knew was going to repair it, sent the estimate to Hagerty, and promptly received a check from Hagerty. No deduction and no hassle.

Your friend's company probably is fine too, but for only $100 difference, I'm sticking with Hagerty's record. {:>)

Be safe,

Roger

****ing hilarious!
