Complete toolkit for 2200 euro on eBay. Yes, it's there, and that too.

Well, you can ask whatever you want, but that’s way out of line IMO. Later and incorrect large pliers and motorcycle white cloth?

Brings up the question how much is a pristine box full of tools worth? Off the top of my head I would say 1K but that could be light.....

Bert's probably the expert here :D

i would say, that might be a little high ... but not by much when you include the box itself. i would put a range of 750 to 1000 for a complete box with everything correct and in wonderful shape. that being said, if you could find a perfect box with no repairs, cracks or repairs ... you have found a very rare piece ... and that would be worth a lot for somebody who had a perfect original coupe ... but a broken box.

most normal people would just opt for the new box for $300 bucks from W+N ... or 400+ from domestic suppliers. correct tools would cost you 300 to 400 bucks (if you didn't have any of them) plus a little more for the light bulbs, fuses, and other bits. you can buy pink berus on ebay from time to time ... they might be the right size / color ... but they won't be the correct model plug.

I would hope anyone paying top dollar for tools, the rest of the car is in #1 condition; otherwise, it's a waste.

Sorry, but last thing I need is a bunch of heavy tools, weighing down the toolbox and causing a crack on the toolbox when the trunk is shut.

The sets I sell are basic and do not include feeler gauge. plugs and Allen wrenches. So, that said, the question is are the parts that I don't put in a kit worth $600? I presently have a nice set in the for sale section at $375 and may have a decent set of the Allen wrenches.

Forgot about that. I am more in tune with E24 tool boxes which go for around $40 +/- However, I do still have a nice kit for sale with immaculate red handled screwdrivers. Between the case and other items,I would have to say a complete and immaculate set of tools for an E9, with case ,is worth minimum $1K

Winter sale is on!
Price has gone down, now only 1999 Euro. Hurry, hurry! :D

Great to hear Bert, yours are of course a very fair price. With the clamshell alone costing so much a complete kit can certainly add-up to what has been discussed.

Didn't I just send you some heavy tools, Rob?

Well then I will send out a shout to Harry again for putting me in contact with a guy from Vegas who sold me the complete kit from his E9 for 150 dollars. Said he wanted another E9 owner to have it. So what happens in Vegas doesn't need to stay in Vegas. Also let Bert know and he drooled over the pristine allen wrenches.
