Congratulations to Amy on winning the Best-of-the-Best award at Eurofest 2014. As always, her car looked great. They had a special class for selected previous winners there, and all the cars were beautiful.

Congrats again Amy.

Way to go Amy.
Your car looked wonderful as always.

Great to meet you Roger.
The Alpina 850 is beyond beautiful.
Roger's car was displayed in the Zentrum. Quite an honor.

Great show at Euro Fest at the Zentrum in SC. 400 cars

Best of the Best

Thank you all for the kind words. All I can say is WOW it pays to be persistent I guess. I had the opportunity of having the quiet time to get prepared. I love this part. You know why? Every part of my coupe reminds me of so many people who I have met along the 31 years with this car, it is not just a thing to me. "He" is alive with memories of great times on the tracks, drives those super curvies roads, the shows, clubs: well I think you get the idea. He even introduced me to Wayne. Who said that cars were just a hunk of metal? Of course ours are pure art. :p

After Amelia Island I see you replaced your red/blue fuel line fittings with original style - much improved look. Did you solve your fuel odor smell by installing the rubber carb top gaskets?

Thank you for noticing the new fuel lines. I had hoped for a more positive odor removal but I am happy with the way it looks for now.

Currently I am having the radiator replaced to keep the engine cooler. Hopefully this work will be completed in time for the Joara Tour this weekend. After all I do love to drive this car too! Motorsport Connections Billy Revis in Winston-Salem is doing the work. He maintains several coupes and 02s so it is in good hands!

These only take a few minutes to install and make all the difference in the world:

Motorsport Connections is a great shop. Billy is an excellent mechanic and a great guy. While we were down there for The Vintage he replaced Athena's alternator in 2012 and starter in 2014 though the starter died 3 weeks later, it got us home.

The shop also maintains and replaced the motor with a 3.5 in Bo Gray's CS which he drives daily.

When my motor was rebuilt in 2011 a triple core radiator was installed. It looks stock. My temp guage never gets above 4 o'clock

Hope you make the tour. See you at The Vintage 2015.

I do have tons of faith in Billy, he is so enthusiastic too. He brought the radiator for me to see it to Euro, I didn't know it was ready, knowing I would like to hold it and admire it. And I did just that.

On your triple core, did you have a stock radiator redone to the triple core? Mine was a OEM replacement in 1984 so it was time as I drove it for 5 years in Atlanta heat and then it sat for 2 years while we built our NC house and made the move here 5 years ago.
