Spent last couple months refurbing tranny. Installed last week however noticed two coolant leaks one up front below crank pulley and one flowing down oil pan. As the car has not had the engine running for a couple months surmise this is not a high pressure leak. Before dismantling the entire front end does the forum have suggestions on where I should investigate?

Water pump gasket and the pump itself (leaking behind pulley?), thermostat housing gasket(s), all hoses at the thermostat housing.

Second the nomination of the water pump. There is a small hole on the underside of the shaft housing that seems to be there expressly to function as an indicator that the internal seal is failing, allowing a small drip to fall to the floor. It's the first place I'd look. Be aware that the water pump bolts can be fragile, DAMHIK.
