Hi,
I´m trying to connect the original D-Jet Wiring harness to an overhauled 3,0l engine these days. The harness plug for engine cooling temperature seems to have the same plug connector as the injectors, but my temperature sender only have one spade/male connector.
Checking part number 62110788115 on the net gives several results, both with single connector and double connector (earth + signal). If ordering one it could be a gamble.
In addition to this the engine harness (not the D-Jet harness) also have a connection to the sender. This is the ordinary single type. Can it be mixed with the D-Jet harness?
I have a spare thermostat housing with several options for senders laying around. It might be an alternative to have two, one for the ECU and one for the temperature gauge?
Does anyone have any advice to share?

Djet engine harness has no connection to temperature gauge sensor at thermostat housing. Djet uses two water temperature senders below the intake, one for coolant temperature and one for cold start valve circuit sensor. Djet has an air temperature sensor at the plenum and a cold start Injector at the plenum.
Those 4 use the same connectors as the injectors.
The temperature gauge sender is a single spade connector unit. Look for a brown/white wire with a spade connector coming from the area of the battery.

Ok. At first I routed the cables from common sense. Then I started to read the electrical diagrams (wrong order maybe) only to get really frustrated. All your guidance make sense sfdon, but still I have an extra cable connection that I don't know where belong.
The brown/white wire is coming from the ordinary engine harness and is not an issue, but where do I connect the fourth wire from the ECU harness on the photo? Three of them obviously goes to the first three injectors but where does the first wire go (the long one on the right)? I have connected the two wires to the plenum as you describe. They are (If I'm right) coming out from the harness on the aft side of the throttle body.

A photo tells a thousand words. The seat for the air temperature sensor was blinded off for some reason and I did not see the connection, to put it that way. I found another inlet plenum and, viva, there was the sensor. Case closed:)
Thank´s sfdon
