Coupe Story #2: Part 2 of 3

Let's pick up were we left off: me back on campus, and our class 'en route' towards downtown....
We were told to meet at the 'Water Table' at 1:00pm. I had plenty of time to find parking and 'zip around downtown before catching up with the rest of the students.
Their was one particular (student) that had caught my attention from the first day of class. She had that look about her....the kind of face that you would find on sculpture bust...a real Roman.....
Now was my chance to impress her, but alas, she had already left with the others--It was just me and the coupe.
I jumped in and onto the expressway...all windows were down...downtown was just a 'flick' of the throttle away.
I exited and began driving around. The coupe loved to poke its long hood and nose down the narrow streets and got lots of waves and smiles from the side-walk crowd.
I caught the occasional glimpse of my own reflection and swung the 'boat-tail' back-end around so the exhaust note would pound the buildings and bounce back.
My parking spot was a cozy street-side affair...with the windows rolled up, I had just enough time to arrive at our meeting point.....
