Cruisin' the coast?

I'm on a road trip from Florida back to Arkansas and accidentally ended up in the cruisin' the coast on the Mississippi Gulf.
I'm not driving my E9 but curious to know if anybody is here?

I took mine from New Orleans in 2010 and was the only European car in the 20 mile stretch. Were people tailgating in lawn chairs on the side of the road?

In fact people were tailgating and on the side of the roads everywhere.
