i have a question about refinishing an original badge such as a 3.0 / 2800 or a CS / CSi badge. my understanding was that these were anodized finishes such as the belt trim. should this be sent to Speedway for polishing and ceramic coating ... or a different approach, such as re-anodizing. i have new badges that have pins, but my thought is to use older badges without pins, so i can use doublestick in lieu of drilling holes.

appreciate and recommendations

Or just clean and polish them then take them to a local anodizing shop like I did with my five slat grille

Buying a new badge is getting difficult. I found a CS badge on the Facebook E9 group for sale. The "seller" had a bunch of badges, but the only way to buy them was in person. A friend bought a badge and the CS one for me and had them sent to us here in the States. The badge has a BMW mark on the inside. The badge is chrome plated metal and 3 times heavier than the anodized aluminum original badge. It is the exact same shape with the correctly spaced posts on the back. But the chrome doesn't match the aluminum.
Does anyone need an industrial-strength CS badge?

i have a new CS and a new CSi badge (both BMW), also have new 3.0 and 2800 C S badges. no, they aren't for sale.
i have a 3.5 (industrial weight) and an old CSi badge. wanted to try to make these 2 look the same.
