Quick question from the paint shop.. what would be the correct finish for the bonnet and boot latches? I know the boot latch I unbolted from my CSA donor was plain metal/plated but the CSL one is riveted on - would that have originally been body colour or plain plated like all the others? Under bonnet latches - satin black or body colour?

Under bonnet latches are satin black as you’ve correctly pointed out.
Alloy trunks are all body color as seen in this pic of an original Alloy trunk lid.

That isnt’t the striker however. The striker bolts to that base and it’s zinc plated. I think the fronts are blackened steel, like a hex screw.

Those hood strikers are clearly painted. I checked mine (since I don’t have crap sitting on the hood). Mine are painted also and not blackened steel like I hypothesized.

Pic below are black painted hood strikers and zinc receivers. On the rear the striker and the receiver are both zinc.
