just curious, other than the tools in the clam shell tray, my city pack car has no equipment in the boot. So no jack, no chock, no warning triangle.
Should it have these bits, or were they lost in the CSL weight saving department?
I see on realoem, a warning triangle is listed, as is an aluminium chock, but no jack (why have a light weight wheel chock if you've no jack??)

Cheers

Hi Drew,
All cars including the L’s were delivered with the jack, wheel studs removing tool, the small triangle to keep the car from rolling (I’m sure there are better words to describe), warning triangle, tool roll (for L’s cars without the tool tray) and the special first aid kit pouch (not box).

Cheers

So your car doesn’t roll off whilst changing a tyre :);), atleast you still have it!

That jack is a very early model with the tiny arm instead of the longer handle. The pillow and triangle are listed as options in the owner’s manual including other models in that timeframe, are you sure they were included? Perhaps just a UK requirement? Cheers

Thanks Keshav, I'll put this on the car's xmas list. Assume they stow by the wheel arch, like in E24s

Have I been missing something for the last 40 plus years, as I am wondering if anyone ever used the wheel chock / small triangle? I think that it is overkill.
I try to find somewhere flat, use the park brake /handbrake and never jack both rear wheels off the ground.

Assuming your modern car has some form of spare wheel to change, how do you stop that car rolling away? I haven’t seen a chock in a modern car, well ever. Perhaps Brits don’t have the same level of safety legislation as Germans. What does the rest of the world do, chocks in modern cars?
