I've put out some feelers as know some guys that should know the car.
Any chance of posting a link to the listing?
Curious to see how this goes as I think it's been years since a CSL went on what could be called the open market in Aus. Think the last one was the 72 Verona that ended up going to the UK following a private sale. Rumour was it was north of $300k and that not counting freight, duty GST etc..

only just saw your post. southern BM looked at the car and I did ring them but no one was around to discuss. the auction house said that one of southern BM team would call me but I didn't get a call. there are no photos of the underside or the important areas.

Thanks for that.

Off top of my head and not wanting to sound like a total pedantic a**hole!

Wrong wheel
What's with the waistline trim
Headlights look non OEM
RH Grill is warped
4 bar grill
Wrong wheels
Wrong fuel cap
Kick in the rear valance
Rust bubbles on boot panel
Door cards have screws in them
Dash is water damaged
Various scratches, dings and tears
Rust stains on driver's wheel well carpet

Assuming the bones were ok it could be put right it could become a nice car but in my view (from 500km) it will need a lot of work..

I was considering it and then moving my CSL on but as I can't tell what it's actually like I would rather spend the money on mine. I was hoping to view it but seller didn't want viewings

I'm the first one to take covid precautions but no viewings isn't going to help the sale price.

that CSL sold for $150,000

$150,000 Australian dollar it is $110,000 US dollar not bad very low price I think first it is in far land and 2nd right hand drive what other thing could be
Last night the auction ended with reserve not met at around $120k Aus. Maybe they did some negotiating after.

Hopefully the new owner joins this forum.

Whoever bagged a AUD$150k CSL (in the crazy expensive Aust. car market) that also happens to be fully road registered and recently serviced, I say congratulations, well bought!

This was? quite a rusty car and has had extensive repair work, also has a non original moter fitted.

If that's correct than I guess 'bargain' is relative. You are going to spend 50k on body work and trim - more if rust is bad. God knows what on buying a Petri. If non-matching numbers that could knock 100k off the end value - just my opinion.
