CSL Front Air Damn Problem

For reference, Dan did say he will take it back.

My first thought was it looks like it was for a group 5 or 4 widebody as it is the right width, and looks shaped for flares. The round vents would be incorrect though.

Too bad vsr doesn't make the other style which I prefer

Have to give this thread credit for motivating me to order a VSR air dam.

Im not sure who Max got our kit from But none of the panels fit for $#!% , and like the poster here our front spoiler was also several inchs too wide , and we got reallt wide fenders, Im not certain that the flares really have much to do with how the airdamn fits. This $%&@! kit has cost us a tremendous amount of money to get fitted ,
Brendan, i think that Max posted where he got the kit from ... i don't think it was from Dan ... but remember the Luigi fit story which was from Dan. i know that Dan took some heat over that ... as i remember he talked about making modifications to make that kit fit better ... zero idea if that ever happened. yours if i remember right either came from somebody in canada or mr. glasscar ... but i am not sure that i am correct. worth a look.

Hi Charles,

I'm jumping into this discussion a little late but I had a very similar issue with the 635 style spoiler that I bought from CoupeGuy. When I received it, I thought there was no way in the world it would fit, like yours it was way wider than my car. Dan told me the same thing that he told you. After a lot of modifications (mainly to fit the bumper), I made it fit. It loses some if it width as you wrap it around the front to car but it takes for ever to get it right. I have a ton of hours in my air dam, I can't tell you how many times I had to test fit it which means placing the bumper each time. I love the way it looks so it was worth it, plus I did years ago so I have forgotten most of the pain.

Here's a write I did a few years ago. Dan sent me a very nasty PM when I posted it.
