D-Jet? Motronic?

Sorry if this is old stuff, I'm new to FI in our coupes. What type of FI is in a 1974 coupe? D-Jet? Motronic 1.0, 1.1, 1.3? Or What? How do you tell the differences? I'm looking at buying a 74 CSI to make the FI conversion in my 74 CS with Webers...Thanks for the help.

Converting the Bosch D-jet to the 2nd generation L-jet with 02 sensor is probably the best solution in terms of simplicity and retaining the looks of the much preferred C intake runners. Take a look at this great writeup for more info. http://www.bmwcsregistry.org/Technical/EFIConversion.html

Indeed, although the Motronic 1.3 is generally regarded as the best performer, especially when it comes to reliability. It is also very doable to use the log manifold with the Motronic system, but it does take a considerable amount of re-wiring.
