Can a dash that has delaminated all the way through be repaired?

My idea was to clean and sand between the layers, then use my air gun to blow out the dust and use Cascamite glue (the same glue I was going to veneer with) clamp up.

Has anyone else done this or am I wasting my time?

Thanks for looking

Marc

ive worked with a lot of wood.
and anything can be repaired.
I would certainly try it.
I would soak it first, then clamp and let dry, then glue and patch.
At the area where its apart is really not that critical when assembled.
you could also use a heat gun glue
looking at it i would cut off the bad layers, maybe iron them w/ a steam iron on a mold
to keep the shape, to straighten them the glue them back on, one at a time
ive seen a few of those for sale also
