Yes and also the fuel gauge.

No US 2800CS came with the 55 L tank. And all 2800CS 70L and 3.0 CS 70L both pre and post 74 72 L use the same sender.

I can confirm that my 1970 USA model 2800CS has a 70 liter tank and the sender is 252mm long. The tank size is listed in the owners manual and an online listing of 1970 specs. Apparently only early 2800CS cars had the 55 liter tank that uses the 200mm sender and those were not officially imported to the US.

In addition, my fuel sender bayonets into the tank vs the other style that uses screws to fasten it in place. (unknown to me if that's an earlier or later variation)
