Differential Noise

So no noise in neutral?

I had some torque converter growl on the 4 speed auto ZF. Disappeared with a different torque converter.

What about the center bearing?

These types of dilemmas are of the type where I some times choose to ignore it. Perhaps it will disappear, likely it will grow worse. Benefit: when it becomes more noticable, it will also be easier to find!

Chris - I would redo the pre-load on the center bearing in the drive shaft. Relatively simple to do in isolation from other changes, and this fits with the noice being more pronounced inside the car.

D/S rebuilt one year ago, new everything. I can check the CB. Car has to be in third/Drive above 55 for noise to appear.
