If I remember correctly, the 'cap' on the front top end of the arm rests on both the '71 2800 CSA and the '73 3.0 CS that I had about 35 years ago where chrome plated plastic. Were the '74's the same, or different? A picture of the current armrest cap on my '74 is attached. I'd prefer the chrome if that was 'correct' for '74's. Are there any sources that you are aware of?

Thanks for the continued help.

my guess is that somebody wrapped yours with leather. yes, all years were plastic chrome - same part number all years.

51411815255 + 256

Still available:

51411815255 CAP LEFT0.01 1 $17.52
51411815256 CAP RIGHT0.01 1 $17.52

Thanks guys for the verification. and for the part numbers, so I can replace the leather ones.

I'm going to change the interior color - currently all grey as shown in the pix. The second previous owner spared nothing in the refurbishment/customization of the car in 1993. New custom leather Konig front seats, rear seats re-upholstered in same grey leather and stitched to match the rears, new door and rear side in same color, matching new carpet, etc. etc.

The Konig front seats will be available - for sale - next winter, as I'm going to restore a couple of OE seats. These Konigs are every bit as restraining in 'enthusiastic driving' as were the Recaro SRD track seats I had in my P-car 928 S4 for about 7 years.
