Spotted this on Coupeking's ebay site:

Obviously, I am not Coupeking so this is not my ad.

These belong on the e3s, and not the e9s, so if you are strict on originality these are not for you. I think they are a nice touch, so I installed two of the three door pieces on my car (I left out the third because I would have had to drill a larger hole into the door wood and I wanted this mod to be reversible):

Nice and I like your Front Seats can you post more pictures and specs pleas

Chris

Seats are Konigs. They were originally gray (dyed to match the seats in the previous owner's yacht). Gary Knox pulled them from his car because he wanted to go back to the original seats, so I grabbed these from him. This picture shows the original color of the seats while I was in the process of changing them:

The seats are now a Mercedes Color called Cognac inspired by a pre-WWII Mercedes Benz I saw on the street at the Carmel by the Sea Concourse in 2016. Gary helped me track down a sample of the MB leather, and I then hunted down a leather dye person in Pennsylvania who made a dye that matched the color. I subsequently acquired the rear seat leather from Gary and am in the process of dyeing them to match the fronts. I left the door cards because of the two tone look on the seats front to rear; if you look closely you can see that I dyed the armrests and not the panels themselves. Once I get the rear seats done, I will do the remainder of the doors. I've also kept the black inserts in the ashtray because I like the contrast.

I've been trying to decide exactly what shade of tan/camel that I want to use in my car. Darker than the beige, but lighter than the brown. I think that might be it - thank you! :D

Stephen,

If you conclude the Cognac is a bit too dark (I like it, think it looks great on Chris's car), you can look at MB Bamboo, or Orange Bamboo. Both are nice colors to my eye. I dyed all seats and side panels etc. in my car with the MB Bamboo, which to my eye was complimentary to the 'almost' Granitrot of my car (actually a Porsche color - Surinamrot that the guy who had the car restored in the late 80's loved. He even had a custom sailboat wood dyed in that color, using the grey Chris mentioned above for the decks/interior).

Stephen -- if you decide to copy my color, I used Color Plus Leather for the dye. I don't know if Joanne can reproduce the color from my file, but I have a sample of the leather I could send to you.

In evaluating the color in my pictures, the seat bottom of the driver's side seat is the closest approximation of the color. The upper portions of the seat back are somewhat washed out in the light. The MB Bamboo Gary mentions is also a very nice color.
