Door Bracket Repair

So the door brackets on both sides of my newest project (79 323i) are about trashed. It's not an E9 or E3 but I want to tap the brains of those I trust.

Driver's side is missing the top loop and the remaining loops on both sides are widened and ovoid. Yo can hear the classic double popping noise when you open the passenger side and watch the pin move. I surmise the plastic sleeves in each door brake crapped out a long time ago. I came across this fix for 2002's. Has anyone tried this? Is this bracket universal to all old BMW's ? RealOEM does list this part for the 2002 but i did not see it for the E9 or E21. Thanks.

Don't know if it'll work for your 3 series, hut i really dig the PRdesigns 02 solution. Well engineered with the metal clothes hanger helping hand thingy to aid installation.

Only way to find out is to take measurements of your 3 series and ask if someone can compare to their 02.
Then if the parts match, still the clothes hanger helping hand might not work.
