Door Card Replacement/Update/Refresh: Photographs Please

Looking for ideas.

My cards are okay.
Just okay.

Looking for restoration ideas that could be incorporated. Kinda like the P-car crowd with their pull-strap door handles.
Use a leather-wrapped e30 armrest? e24 armrest?

Any pictures to show the audience?

To me, e24 armrest looks the same as E9. My 86 though, the top pops up and the armrest is hollow and can be used for storage ( of things you forget about like a 100 dollar gift card to Legal Seafood that was 12 years old.....they honored it!).

Terrific write-up. My cards are in good shape, but they'll be reinforced using your tips. I can always fall back on these (especially with your tips).

Still thinking 'bout some custom work with Porsche-style pull handles and straps, and maybe an arm rest from a e24? Does anyone have a custom idea(s)?
