Any tips on removing old door seals. I viewed on YouTube the use of spray-on seal remover to help hasten the process. My rear-most doors seals are worn and frayed. I was thinking of using 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive to bond the new seals on. However, I find this yellow stuff tricky to work with. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Update: I pryed the old seals off, but a stubborn remnant remains . Any methods suggested for removing the remnant ?

Prepsol (wax and grease remover) or if you have 2 pot paint (NOT single pot lacqure, or you will melt it!!!) a general purpose thinner

If it's soft, 3m adhesive remover or painting prep degreaser

if it's hard, you can usually chip most of it off (carefully, I use a small #1 screwdriver and a mini hammer) and then use the solvents to get rid of the little bits left.

Mine came off with mineral spirits applied with a small brush behind the seal as I pried it off slowly.

+1 for mineral spirits. Works perfect on any old E9 glue and is very gentle towards paint and rubber :-)

Use the fast drying black 3M adhesive, not the yellow, just did mine, worked great.

I've used both and now tend to favor the yellow spray on stuff. But be sure to mask off the general area with painters blue tape first or the yellow stuff will get all over everything (good news is, I only did that once). The black stuff doesn't seem to stick to the surface as well and sometimes pulls off when applying it.

+1 on the 3M adhesive remover, best stuff I've ever used
