hey guys, what have you found to be the best way to trim down door seals (the cut at the funny shaped piece)? there has to be a better way than a lot of strokes with a razor knife.
right about now, i wish i had a big guillotine paper cutter. chop it off clean. might try using a serrated bread knife (a very sharp one) ... nice and thin and one sided so the side i want to preserve should come out straight. i think i will give it a whirl on the first 1/2" so i can save a little space for the final cut.I thought you meant too thick, I have used snips or utility knife
I used this little guy. Replaceable blades are a little pricey and they are dull after the third cut but work excellenti thought about a heated knife ... i trimmed one with the serrated bread knife and it worked well. i cut the last bit with a really sharp japanese kitchen knife (thin blade). the cut looked very good - no jagged edges or roughness. as long as the blades are very sharp, it works quite well. i use my kitchen knives every day ... so they all stay very sharp.
