I just got my latest Hagerty Magazine “The music and Car’s issue”. Loving music of course I have a driving play list of over 3.5 hours of 50 songs about driving. My question to the forum is tell me a driving story about a memory you attach to a driving song
ONE of mine is about Lynyrd Skynyrd Call me the Breeze. I was driving home on a warm summer evening in the mid 70’s by myself, from a day of surfing at the beach in my 1972 Mercury Capri. As I merged from highway 1 to highway 17 the song Call me the Breeze came blaring on the stereo. I down shifted and blasted by the cars ahead of me as “Call me the breeze I keep blowin’ down the road” sang out. If you know the road it is a bit winding and for someone that drives it allot it can be very fun…”Well, I got that green light, baby I got to keep moving on”
