Unfortunately it's still in the car
If it's really a 1980 it should be a 5 speed.
NMNA.

Also does a 1980 transmission have the gear for a mechanical speedometer? No title, will it be difficult to get rid of the car?

It’s bought…ya no title, junkyards won't touch it
So, I am now the proud owner of this $400 beauty, not sure about proud.... This is a complete but rough car as you can image after sitting for outside for 25 years. All tires flat, no key and the dirt was about body level. It took about an hour to load up, we used 2 come-alongs, 2 tow straps and somehow all tires held air. Then it was a 200 mile drive to it's final resting place in Grass Valley. Along the way I needed to fill up the old gas tank, that's were I saw the hitchhiker mouse running on the trailer, I don't think that's what he had planned for the day. This car will be parted out, the 5 speed will be rebuilt, and all usable parts pulled. It’s bought…
There is always a tow truck driver willing to take cars like that it may cost you 100 to 200 but they’ll take them
