This is the automatic transmission driveshaft from that same car. Realoem indicates this part will fit e24s as well.
As noted in my prior thread, car now has 170,000 miles on it. Receipt for the $1241 driveshaft shows install at 161,xxx; thus driveshaft has less than 9k miles on it. It was cheaper for me to buy a new driveshaft (see box in the first pic) than it would have been to have this one modified.
$350 plus shipping.
