E30 and E24 Recaro seats for sale in the SF Bay Area

the e30 ones are BMW sport seats, not sure if they were just recaro designed / bmw built or if bmw bought them from recaro. i much prefer the look of the e30/m3 seats to the std. e30 ones. the m3 seats have horizontal seams rather than vertical ones ... looks MUCH better and would work well with the 74 interior or the CSL rear seats. the main issue with the e30 seats is the base is made to attach to the floor, i don't remember if the bases are removable or not ... been a while since i've looked at them and got rid of my spare seats. one thing i can tell you is the e30 / m3 seats are really comfortable

I've been down a similar road and used the sport seats from a late E24 in my own coupe - I think the seats are largely the same a the E30 ones (share a lot of part numbers etc.) and yes, the bases are integrated into the seats, so not an easy job to get into a coupe. Some cutting and welding was needed, I decided to hack the seat bases rather than the structure of the coupe - so the original seats could go back in without any issue. Much more comfortable, they don't look out of place and well worth doing.

The E24 sport seats I have I think came only on E24 M6 cars. They are presumably BMW sport seats and perhaps made by Recaro for BMW. They are comfortable, the electronic control modules are complex as they are very discrete and sometimes the motherboard cracks by passengers in the rear seat pushing with their feet. They do not look easy to fit into E9s and I am not sure they belong there... I always prefer manual seats...

the e30 sport seats are manual and are the same comfortable seats ... they also share the same work to get to fit into the e9.
