With obligatory boy racer roll cage.
I'm up in Seattle and last month did a one-day racing track introduction course at our local speedway - Proformance Racing School. You can bring your own car - I brought my E39. The guy who was my instructor races older 3-series BMWs, and it sounds like there was a fairly extensive community of people who race these locally. I suspect this car is one of that crowd and thus the reason for all of the track upgrades.
