Hello members, i have been a classic car enthusiast for quite a while now, i have purchased and restored plenty of classic Range Rovers, a Defender and a Austin mini all of which I have donated to my kids and wife. Recently I heard of an abandoned E9 in a farm in Guanacaste (the Beach and RR side of Costa Rica) a Spaniard had brought the car from Madrid and had driven the car, unfortunately he was not able to enjoy It for long since he passed away and the car was taken to a friend’s farm. Now this is going to sound corny but ever since I saw the movie “When a man loves a woman” ive been in love with that car. I took the opportunity and purchased It (a real barn find), the only problem being that the car had been taken apart and it is missing plenty of ítems. So i am going to be needing plenty of stuff from you guys.
Thanks for allowing me to join up, hope to be doing bussiness with you soon.

Pictures under the hood please? I am in Portugal and Spain until December 10.

Could be interested in a quick run down to see your car.

Hello and welcome! Neat project and enjoy your journey.

Fun to see our examples/specimens left the factory at a similar time being under 600 units apart. I'd wager that it was built in the Fall (November?) of 1969, mine left the day before New Years Eve, 1970. It was Polaris 'then' too and went to Austria.

I like the Polaris over red, curious if original? Mine 'had' tan leather but not sure if it was original as it was 'manipulated' well before I got it.

Suggest a note to BMW classic(?)/factory archives for the factory build/spec info and original dealer/delivery destination.

This board is a tremendous resource with great folks.

Keep on Couping.

unfortunately the 220xxxx vins are not part of my project. there are 6283 - 220xxxx cars (originally) in the world

Would love to know more on the history of this car, but have no idea where to start looking

Hello.

If you want to obtain information about the car you have (year of production, version, body color and where it was delivered for sale), please write an inquiry on this matter by e-mail and send the VIN of your car:

[email protected]

You have to be patient because it takes a while before they respond. Once they respond, they will send an invoice for payment.
After paying, you will receive an electronic certificate with information about this specific car with the given VIN number.

Regards.
