Fantastic, thanks for posting! I didn't know about this magazine. Interesting that southern Africa has such a vibrant, vintage car scene.

Poor 2000CS..."ugly duckling". When I try to explain my car, I tell folks, it has a face only a mother could love. The interior is beautiful, though.

Hi Ed,

This actually made me think of your car.....although I like the 2000cs particularly with Euro beams.

It's nice to see the (2) models compared & a fresh perspective every once in awhile. Hope your Holidays are well.

Thanks, Mo,

I polished up the 2000CS and took Papa to Christmas mass... three ladies got out of their car and ohh'ed and ahhh'ed over the car... Made Papa so proud. Afterwards, we drove it to my brother's house for a huge family gathering. Everyone was happy to see how far it's come along since getting it Thanksgiving. It is running well and I'm just chasing down simple things right now... like non-op horns. Relay clicks, but no honk. Other than that, it cruises very nicely.

Most everything forward of the firewall is different between the two models. Overall length of an e9 is 183"; whereas the e115, 2000CS is 178". The E9 has longer fenders and hood to fit the 6 cylinder. Front suspension is different, as well.

Sounds like you are really enjoying the experience Ed.

I remember parking my car at the bank & a much older women with her husband could not help but to look.....(a double take!)

These memories are what make car ownership special so I know you will continue to enjoy your coupe into the spring. After all that is one of the best times to enjoy driving.
