E9 CSL "Batmobile" Replica from E28

Impressive bodywork! I think the finished product looks kind of 'cute', not nearly as mean as an e9 based car. The stubby splitters and ill fitting CSL spoiler don't do it for me. An M3 style spoiler that overlaps the trunk gaps would look much better.

When I saw this thread I figured it was this car. There are elements from both cars that I like. I like the spoiler, valance, and running gear of the car below much more. It's a real race car as well.

I worked for a guy that had wanted to cut an E28 behind the b piller and shorten the car making it a 2 door...needless to say it never happened but it did look possible at the time ....of course it did snow a lot in that shop so many things seemed possible at the time.
 
Very neat build. Guys had a plan and stuck to it. Great job on the stripes.
 
That's amazing. I had an '83 E28... sold it... never saw it again. E28's are pretty rare nowadays, even the 528e's that used to be ubiquitous have quite disappeared.

What's particularly surprising is that they did so many things right, but have no intention to track the car, it's just for show.

But what else lurks in the shop? A rear/mid engine blue .... something?
