Hi

My 1975 e9 has a power mirror on the driver´s door. Unfortunatley, when I purchased it, the coupe came with no passenger door mirror. Was the passenger door mirror factory instaled? If so, should it be the same model as the driver´s power mirror? Thanks

Factory installed passenger mirrors only when the extras wishlist said so. And yes, it must be the same type as the driver side. Might someone here have a right side electric mirror......

How many coupes in Quito? Please post some pics of your car.

Thanks for the answer. Where would the right electric mirror control be located?

4 Coupes in Quito that I´m aware of.

i am not positive on the e9 ... but in late 70's BMW both controls were located side by side on the drivers door.

That can be best answered by @Michael Kaye who has both sides/ electric mirrors on his Coupe.
I’ll take a guess though, the switch on the diver side should do both sides, I don’t recall seeing a switch on the passenger door card but could be mistaken. MK could also assist in the correct location if you do decide to implement.

4 coupes in Quito, that’s really cool.

The switch on the drivers door controls both mirrors. There is a left/right change over switch on the dash panel close to the CBs for the windows.

I think you can get a pair of those mirrors from any 76 or later e12, and I think there are 2 buttons on the diver door to operate them
