I am looking for a pair of front trim pieces that hold the headliner in place. Part numbers also if possible. These pieces start at the bottom of the "A" pillar and run up and meet the rear pieces at approximately where a "B" pillar would be.

Interesting, you can find the catalog subgroup 51/36 in W &N but they dont have it or list the part number. Neither RealOem or Maximillion even shows 51/36.

in the orange books - 51/36 is the rear window ... which looks just like 51/37. i presume that you are looking for the flat aluminum trims (that are shaped to fit the opening) which mount to the top of the door opening - these are shown on 41/14 and are part 51 71 6 754 285 + xx 286 which also have weatherstrip parts 51 71 6 754 282 + xx 283. these trims are all discontinued parts - the door seals are still available.

I think he wants the "U" shaped parts that help hold the headliner in place and meet at the B pillar and have a little clip to hide the seam.

Here to help with the not-so-many pics I have.

The front, hard headliner part and the flexible vinyl headliner is held in place by a shiny U shaped trim part that surrounds the top of the door. It runs from the corner of the wood dash upwards to just below the forward point of the ceiling grabhandle.
The u-shape pinches the headliner material over the body flange.
in pic 327 you're looking into the cabin from the right side. Close to you, on the left side of the car, the trim is out, In the back you can see the trim still in place.
pic 531 is looking up in the right door opening, at the 'b' pillar point. It shows the connection clip.

The front the hard headliner part is also held by the screws of the sunvisors, and 2 small rivits on each side drilled into the body flange at the door opening.

I have the rear part only. I think I got it from a seller in CA. Call Ben at 909-629-6869 and mention my name.
Good luck.
