Last fall my power steering unit was diagnosed with failing.
I found someone on this forum who rebuilt them, but it seems he has gone inactive/deleted his account.
Anyone have a lead on anyone else who rebuilds these?
It's getting near to the time my car goes into storage due to weather - so I would like to get the work done during that time.

Yes I have rebuilt a mechanical Steering box on a e28, 518 part number # 32111127584 page 31 on my website #16

I recently rebuilt an CSL mechanical steering gear box,
there are 3 internal bearings and I was able to locate a source for new bearings,
I donot have the photos i took posted on my website, as I used the wrong camera.
I used my cell phone, so I can send you some of them direct, just e-mail me.

I also have rebuilt the 2002, mechanical steering gear box, also.
