Early right hand drive steering box, maybe from an CS? I've seen another with the same 120 number (ending) but any definitive info would be appriciated.
Someone thought it could be from an E3 but that would be unlikely.

Many thanks, Art

Hi Art,
That is correct… RHD Manual steering box is 512 0 or 7 or 9 as the various plaques are stamped as opposed to the LHD which is 5108
My take is insufficient admittedly :)

Thanks Keshav, so the case production year is 69 and definity from an E9? Does it give any clue to the original model?

Case number shows 69….. probably from a 2800 E3 or an early E9 if ordered without power steering. LHD early E9‘s had manual steering too other than ordered with PS.
Surely @roundel would be able to clarify more accurately!

Or @Paul Baker who’s bound to have a box on hand

To complicate matters, heres another RHD Manual box offered with 5127…..
I also have to wonder which boxes the 2000CS used (whether RHD 2000 CS were ever available)? The one you posted looks quite different (casing) to the one below…..

For anyone interested, I have a manual LHD steering box with shaft for sale…….
