Been doing some looking into the early history of my coupe. She was delivered to the UK in late 1972 as a CSA.
BMW don't have a record of what dealership took delivery or the first owner.
What's caught my attention is that there doesn't appear to have neen any RHD CSA's produced for that year.
So, was my one of those car imported to the UK as a LHD and converted to RHD before BMW started exporting RHD's to the country and what do we know about who were the main importers?
I read on here it was London Consessionaires?

If this is the case how/where would I be looking in the car for evidence of such a conversion? Everything looks pretty stock to me.

Wes.

This id what BMW told me.

"The BMW 3.0 CS Automatic VIN 2231367 was manufactured on October 23rd, 1972 and delivered on October 24th, 1972 to the UK. The original colour was Ceylon metallic, paint code 008."

Guess that makes it a 72?

They started out in Dover in Kent and then moved to Brighton in Sussex
Its unlikely that any records still exist
