last night i saw a '74 sienna cs on ebay that looked nice, but familiar pix. in fact the pix were ny30cs's sienna. i sent some questions to the seller - no response. luckily he had ebay take the auction down.

keep an eye out.

i figured that anybody who bought Mark's car would have had a reserve on it. being at 7500 w/ no reserve raised a flag.

Ignorant I guess....why does this happen and how does such a scam work? Do folks get suckered into this somehow? Just asking because I do not know....Canadian and all....

Did anyone report the seller to EBay??? Even if he changes his username, the new name lets a buyer know the seller changed it which is a red flag. Seems this stuff is on the rise. Working hard and making the honest buck seems to be going out of style.

the guy may really have a 74 cs in sienna and wants to sell it ... but don't use somebody else's pictures. that's bait and switch. but i suspect that it was some kind of scam - even if its just for the deposit.

I am teaching "Othello" this week. As "honest Iago" says, "I am not what I am." Especially on ebay.
