That's for sure but very promising base ... We'll see how high the price will go.

Looks like car was under restoration (new leather on seats, new bolt hoding radiator, new muffler)...

There seem to be many parts missing - there may of course be a box with these in somewhere, just not with the car!

Difficult to be sure but it does also appear to have a nasty aftermarket glass sunroof (maybe just visible in the first photo?)

It's going to need a lot of work ...

did you buy it Steve ;)

Auction said reserve not met...just wondering if they took an off eBay offer?

I was booked into see it tomorrow, the seller, emailed me today and said the car is sold,
Took payment over the phone, the buyer did not view the car before payment, purchase!!!!

wow - well good luck to the buyer. I’m guessing they can throw £30k + into a restoration and end up with a lovely car.

30k plus just alone on the body !!!!

Then add the cost of engine , gear box, suspension rebuild , etc etc
New chrome , rubber, seals , wheels refurb , wood redone etc etc

I'm wondering if E9 is one of the nicest rusty cars ever? I love it even if it is impossible to be restored even. I'm sick. I know.

Or also one of the car you can't imagine how rusty it can be even if you've made a full check without stripping all. :D

I went and saw the car before the gentleman who put it on eBay bought it, and it was for sale for a far lesser price than he advertised.
The engine was not the original one ,but a m30b35 from a e34 with the CSI intake on, and not running/connected.
The body was rough, rust everywhere, but on the bright side. it was a absolute complete car. So good start for a full restoration.
