so this was a neat purchase, to equip future needs, and was in these two parts a need of care and help,

this has became a nice process, see here how to open the different elements of the fan assembly

found fan top thread to be anti-clock wise for example...

as always deQ ... looking great. so what glue did you find to work best on the glovebox ... we both know that's a repair that many coupe owners will have to do at some time.

impact glue, the sort of glue you put in both surfaces, let it dry and then put both surfaces in contact
only point is to get industrial quality, better if rated for high temps
nothing in the supermarket or the internet will do the trick
go to an auto upholstery shop, and ask them to sell you 1 liter of their profi high temp glue
this is how i do it

glovebox is done,

to clean and recover vinyl i have found vaseline as a perfect product

As I'm still looking for a coupe, I couldn't resist trying out your Vaseline recommendation on the dash of my e-type. It came out fantastic!

Much better than the fancy 303 product I'd tried previously.

I'd love to try this, my concern is that dust will stick to it more?

It doesn't stay greasy... You buff it off and it has the perfect low sheen of original (to my eyes). Seems to "soak in" just a teeny bit

I just tried it on one spot first and then went for it when I saw it wasn't greasy. I'm going to the garage now after leaving it on overnight on another section. I'll let you know how it goes..

My other concern is that there is no UV protection unlike some other treatments like 303 and Vinylex which I find attractive for spots like the dash top and parcel tray. Perhaps not an issue in lovely Bilbao but in SoCal or here we get a lot of intense sun.

i have always used maquires 40
with excellent results
i just spray it on and let it soak into the vinyl----
proof- spray some on your tires -leave it alone
over come back the next morning
and it has soaked in and leaves am awesume sheen.
i never touch it till it soaks in then just lighly buff
or add more. perfect feel and finish
