Common problem I know. Carl Nelson, recommends trying cleaning to clean vs replace. Anyone here have any recommendations on how to clean/repair one of these motors? What to use? How to go about it? Thank you!

Many threads on this, try the search function. Are you sure the motor is not working? Press the switch while feeling the motor shaft through the access hole in the door panel to see if it moves a little when switching up/down and is just stuck. The issues usually are the window tracks (dirty and old grease has hardened) and stripped gearboxes as a result. Motors rarely go bad, but you never know.

Yes, sometimes the motor twists the rubber clutch more than it should. May need to give the splined wheel a nudge in the proper direction. Fingers are at your own risk, highly recommend a slot head screw driver or a splined window tool if you have one.
