Hi folks,

Help needed.

Wiring harness back in. Hazard switch works all four emergency indicator/marker lights but indicator switch will not activate for left or right.

Also, when hazard lights are on, all of the lights on the clocks flash in unison - what is being missed?

Joe (Mr Bump), thanks for the calm head yesterday, red wire to the alternator started melting but whole harness not needed to be taken out, as removed the whole section from the alternator to the relay and now all good.

I have had similar crazy electrical gremlins when putting my CS together.

My problem had similar cross connection of indicators and instruments.

There are a two wiring looms which can be cross connected as they have the same connector. From memory it is a rectangular (almost square) connector with three rows of four pins.

One loom comes from the steering column and one from the instrument binnacle, and both have the same rectangular connector. The car wiring loom has two corresponding square connectors. Mine were mixed up and I had similar problems.
