Electrical problems in my 3.0CS

You can also unscrew them with a correct size Snap ring plier. If so, push hard so not to have it jump out and make scratches.

If you happen to have one already, it saves you buying a tool that you need only once..
Erik--You are the Forum's official Tool Man. If that special tool had a red handle, you would have it in your trunk toolbox already.....:)

The EQUUS # 3721 battery & charging diagnostic tool is a safe way of seeing if your charging system is working correctly while driving. Plug it into a cigar lighter power port and read your voltage and check your charging system at any RPM. I found it on eBay for about $35. My lighter is not wired up,but I have a power port in my custom console.

It looks like the same tool that similar age VWs used for their light switches. I used to have one, decades ago with my VWs. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Ah, here's one.

I went to their site and bought the tool. It has tangs that are a tight fit. Pretty rough machining, but a little hand file to soften the edges and the tool will safely remove the headlight switch bezel. Thanks for the link.-----Drew

Love the wood e-brake handle!
The wood is curly Hawaiian Koa to match the dash. I bought 2 billets of the wood on eBay some time ago. They were glued together and the furniture maker even duplicated the finger grips on the bottom.

I've got some Monkey Pod wood from a felled tree from when I lived on Maui. It's not as nice as Koa but I'll make a shift knob and hand brake enhancement and see how it looks.
