I can send you some photos also

a couple questions,
Where did you get the sound damping material?
The German guy, Christoph, has ti but the textures don't look quite like the one in my car
What are you doing for decals? I see several people sell them, I wonder which are best?

the way I understand it, the bulk material is smooth, someone sent me the part number, it is that same as used on floor pans

The German guy has material cut to size and with patterns (texture) on of which is a hexagonal, but it doesn't look like a match to me

Hi Chris
Are you saying the current BMW bulk material has an emboss and not smooth? Would you happen to have the part number for that?
What is the emboss like? My car, it has a very fine diamond pattern and a light hexagonal pattern over that

Be patient and practice using the material before you attach it to the car. You can cut it with a good utility knife and good utility scissors. It'll get tacky really quickly with direct heat. I suggest cutting your patterns a little big then doing a final trim prior to installing them in the car.

I see a couple people selling decals on Ebay, but reproductions, I wonder which set is better?

Hex pads

Here is a set I made. This is using the correct BMW material.

I can make a set for anyone who is interested.

I saw your email in a different post so I am trying that

Mike,

how much would you like for a set?
scott

Scott,
I am cutting these out by hand and not with a dye press. I would have to say $250.00 for a set. I would also include a little extra material so that you can practice installing the pieces. The two pieces that go next to the heater motor are the hardest to instal and take a lot of patience.
