I wanted to share my very positive experience with Terry Tinney in the event that someone in the future is looking for BMW engine work or machining.
The S14 in my 1988M3 developed rough running which I diagnosed to 80% leakage in cylinder 2, blowing into the crankcase. I reached out to @sfdon who is an absolute good guy and he called me right back and turned me to Terry. Next thing I knew I bought a crate, pulled motor and shipped it 1200 miles to Terry. He scheduled the work, gave me his recommendation which I fully agreed. He did a first class complete build, on time, and shipped it back. I really cannot be more positive about him. PS: shipping domestically US in a truck is just a few hundred bucks.

Further, the S14 in my other project car also needed some work, but Terry talked me out of shipping him two engines and just walked me through what I needed to do and R&R the motor myself which I did. Although I suspect that this engine will eventually end up with Terry for an “enlargement” program.
