I know this topics has been discussed a few times in the past, but wanted to bring it back up to see what the current options are. In putting my '73 back together, it looks like the harnesses are in less than ideal shape with significant cracking and some exposed wire. The engine harness is a little simpler to repair, but shy going in and replacing wire by wire, what are they options for replacement or restoration services?

Thanks - those were the options I've seen (Painless kit and one other euro-market provider), but given the age, wanted to see if there are any more current options or thoughts. Ideally, I would like to not have to do the Painless kit.

I agree with you to have the harness as original one.

If you have an original harness a good option is to replace wire-by-wire. Some connectors - if broken - can be replaced from other used wiring (E3, E10 even E23) as some of them are sharing the same connectors.

Spade connectors are widely available in different flavours, quality and pricing.
