Engine identification

Can anyone help identify my engine as the number behind the starter does not match the vin.
Engine decoder does not help either.
Stamped behind starter:

30ED
0689A061

It could be the 689th Exchange motor made in June 1981? The replacement motor in my coupe had 530 stamped near the starter.
