I feel for you.
I had my M90 rebuilt by one of the top shops in the Phoenix area. The car started perfectly and after 20 minutes it lost oil pressure. The oil pump, original, let go.I had asked them to put in a new oil pump as I was taught when you rebuilt an engine use a new pump. Any way I was out $3500. Forward to Chris Kohler. He pulled the motor and took it to a shop he was comfortable with. I might add the shop was in the back of a radiator shop and one of the dirtiest places I've seen I guess looks can be decieving. When the motor was torn down, the cylinders were scored as were the pistons, the crank journals were scored as well as the cam bearings. $4500 later Chris had me a good motor. He long blocked it. I would have gone after the original builder but between when the engine was rebuilt and when I first lit it off was 3-4 years and the statute(SP) had run out. Was lucky with the crank. A member here sold me a crank, as new, for under $200. Well, thanks to Chris and the shop that he used, I've got a screaming car/ 10:1 or a bit more, a 284 reground cam from Schneider Cams and all the other things that go with a warmed up motor. It plain hauls ass!!
