Euro 1972 BMW 3.0CSL on BaT at No Reserve

A very cool car!
Great to one without airdam; it does have it's Charme.

but the paint job wasn't the best around. They just painted over rubber caps of the shocks and the light switch the trunk. Screenshot_20250424_151150_Samsung Internet.jpg

Anyone know what the screwed-on thing is on the cover above the heater blower intake? Screenshot_20250423_155503_Samsung Internet.jpg

Needs a new exhaust if you ask me....
Open pipe isn't factory in guessScreenshot_20250423_155615_Samsung Internet.jpg

Looks to me like an aftermarket hood open/close sensor to let the driver know if it is latched all the way or something like that.

I think you're right. There's a witness mark on the hood.

This is me beening petty, but to me when you have a car like this I would spend a bit more time on the little things, like not haveing the wheel weights on the outside of the wheel, and the mismatched lug nuts in picture 115 and the wierd trunk pictures 187,188

Nice catch on the weights outside the wheels. Didn't see that. I would normally give it "old school" points for that, but in this case it will be a deduction.

So far what is the over/under on this hammer price vs. Terry Sayther's Golf that recently sold for @ $119,111? Such a tough market for predictions. I'll take the over of +/-$10K?

Full disclaimer: not a real bet for anyone, just a figure of speech in this case. The closest winner gets a Smiley Face.
