European Differences?

While working on a 1970 2800 CS of unknown original origin I found that the stalk on the right seems to operate the blinkers while the stalk on the left on my US '74 3.0 CS works the direction signals? Is this the case or is something jacked up with the wiring?

Sounds right. My 72 CSi:
left stalk: high beam toggle
right stalk: turn signal and wipers

My usa 72 has turn signal on rigjht as did my 73 back in the day. They must have changed over at some point

All BMW models through 73 have turn signal on right, it also turns on wipers.

Thanks folks, I guess it's just a year change and nothing "exotic". No wonder I couldn't get those blinkers to work
