I've gotten a couple of the bugs out of the engine now and just returned from a spirited blast down in to the valley to Tower to pick up the new Red Hot Chili Peppers double CD (Stadium Arcadium). I took the test track home and flogged the car pretty good. With the timing retarded and the octane boost in her she doesn't ping anymore, but the engine definitely doesn't spin up to redline as freely as it would with the timing advanced. So far things seem ok. It seems like it's still stumbling/hesitating a little, not nearly as badly as before, but the symptom seems to still be there.
For now things seem ok, so I feel pretty good about things. It's nice to have the garage clean, the boxes gone, and the car running.
Now on to the other CSL project...................
